Dr. Shawn Moore, Optometrist
Dr. Shawn Moore graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree and then attended the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000. Dr. Moore began his career in Barrie, moving to Orillia and purchasing what is now Orillia Optometry in 2001.
Dr. Moore thoroughly enjoys primary care optometry, but his specific areas of interest are vision therapy, concussion management, contact lenses, myopia management, and dry eye. He wants you to always leave educated about your eyes and the problems you may be having, and about the amazing products and solutions that are available for you.
Why Statement: To provide and receive experiences and solutions built on trust and equality that are believed, honest, and without spin so that needs are met through information, understanding, personal growth, and respect.
Dr. Arvin Rajamohan, Optometrist
Dr. Arvin Rajamohan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, and graduated with Dean’s Honours from the same school with his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2022. His training included externships in Oakville and Toronto, allowing him to gain experience in primary care optometry and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
With a special interest in myopia control, Dr. Arvin now looks forward to serving the residents of Orillia with quality eye care.
Why Statement: To deliver a high standard of care and root recommendations in honesty so that patients can feel confident in the care that they receive.
Dr. Emily Lant, Optometrist
Dr. Emily Lant earned her Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree at Western University in London, Ontario before going on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree (with Dean’s Honours) from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science. During her time at school, Dr. Lant received the Ontario Association of Optometrists Award for Excellence in Patient Management. She also served as a Vice President of the Optometry Student Society and travelled to Senegal to provide eye examinations through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH).
Dr. Lant is passionate about providing excellent eye care to patients of all ages and has an interest in dry eye management, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease. She completed clinical internships in Collingwood Ontario and rural Manitoba, where she managed ocular diseases including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, keratoconus, and glaucoma.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Lant enjoys spending time out on the lake with family, hiking the Bruce Trail, and skiing.
