Presbyopia (Aging Eyes & Vision)

Book Appointment

As adults age, they develop an eye condition known as presbyopia, which affects one’s ability to clearly see items only a short distance away. No one is exempt from the condition, and it affects all adults at some point after they reach the age of 40 – 45.

Adults can have trouble reading small print or focusing on a computer screen when presbyopia develops, but fortunately, it is generally easily treatable through the use of reading glasses, traditional contact lenses, technologically enhanced lenses or Lasik eye surgery. If you find yourself squinting while trying to read or are experiencing eye fatigue or trouble focusing as you once could, presbyopia could be to blame. Schedule an exam with your eye doctor to determine if you’re experiencing the condition, and if so, how you can begin treating it.
